Job Description:
The Game Technology department is responsible for in-game technology, game launch quality, high-level support troubleshooting, and game component technical production. The Controls Technician has the integral responsibility in expanding the boundaries of Game Technology through research, development, and testing, as well as, the standardization / rollout of existing experiences and technology.
Pay & Benefits:
- Compensation: $20-$24/hr Starting Pay Range
- Regularulary offered 5 hours of weekly overtime

Hours & Schedule:
● Expected Weekly Hours: 40 - 45 with more as projects require
● Travel Expectations: Extensive (25%-40% of possible working days)
● Expected Schedule:
- Office: Monday - Friday (day shift)
- Installation: Monday - Friday plus weekends (depends on installation schedule, weekend work often includes accompanying rest/off days during the upcoming workweek)
- Emergency Travel: As needed, could include nights & weekends with extended hours
● Oncall: Yes
Job Responsibilities:
Research and Development - 45%
- Work on new tech development projects (New Experience and/or Product, Acquisitions, BOH / FOH Changes, and IP Projects) guided by the TEG Tech Standards
- Write PLC Code (Productivity 1000)
- Some Arduino Code, Software Code
- Build New HMIs
- Test and determine tech used in new components
- Create Wiring Sheets
- Create Build Diagrams and Documentation
Improvement / Renovations - 25%
- Work on the list of tech improvement projects
- Work on updates to existing store Wiring Changeover, Controls Systems, Game IT, Component Updates
- Work on renovation projects that involve Tech Resources
Standard Game Installations 20%
- Provide “closing” support on standard game installs
- Typical trip is 10-12 consecutive days at the end of a project.
- Perform a pre-punch walkthrough with the Tech Project Lead onsite
- Perform testing of games prior to punch walkthroughs
- Be the onsite tech representative for punch walkthrough questions and concerns
- Perform onsite troubleshooting and assistance with punch items
Store Support 10%
- Provide high-level technical support to existing store as needed
Job Requirements:
- Experience with PLC coding, or strong ability to read / troubleshoot
- Experience working with various AC/DC Voltages
- A degree in EE, EET, Applied Electronics, ext or 2-years of equivalent experience in the field
- A love for escape rooms and interactive media
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Contagiously positive, can-do attitude

- Strong communication skills - written, on the phone, in-person
- Proficient at spreadsheets & document creation
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds individually
- Able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces for extended periods of time
- Understanding of production and fabrication processes including CNC, Carpentry, Scenic, Paint, and Controls Technology
- Understanding of architectural floor plans and general construction processes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
