POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of duties in support of the Loan Servicing Department. Completes routine loan related back-office tasks as well as specialized loan servicing activities. Conducts research to resolve account issues. Provides exceptional customer service via telephone and electronic communications. Maintains confidentiality of bank records and customer information. Works independently under the supervision of the Loan Servicing Manager.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all functions supporting the daily operations of the Loan Servicing Department relating to business loans, residential mortgages and consumer loans.
- Processes routine and more complex transactions including new loan booking, loan disbursements, escrow disbursements, wires, loan payments, advances, participation transactions, loan account reconciliations, and third-party reporting. Addresses inquiries, researches and resolves issues.
- Performs loan documentation reviews; ensures proper documentation is submitted and verifies any inconsistencies are resolved.
- Maintains loan file records; accurately images documents and files accordingly.
- Sustains current working knowledge of all internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
- Provides exceptional customer service, maintains a cooperative and professional manner with internal and external customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent communication, analytical and customer service skills. Strong knowledge of MS Office. Sound data entry skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks and manage workflow within established guidelines. Regular, reliable attendance is critical.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is generally performed in an office environment, with frequent interruptions. Must be able to stay in a stationary position, operate a computer, move inside the workplace and exchange information. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in accordance with Webster Five’s Remote Work Policy.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
MINIMUM PRIOR EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years loan servicing experience.
