We are looking for an experienced full-time technician with weekend and holiday and treatment rotations required. We offer great benefits and competitive compensation based on experience. We stand out as having the most collaborative, supportive, team-oriented environment around.
**We train our qualified technicians to perform GlobalFast, full abdominal, and/or echocardiogram patient ultrasounds. This is an exciting opportunity to learn an amazing skill and be an intrinsic part of point of care diagnostics.
Education, License and Job Requirements: -
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum 2 or more years of experience as a Veterinary Technician; CVT or equivalent skills preferred
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Weekend/evening, Holiday and treatment shifts are required
- Will train the right candidate to round out your skills
Job requirements include but are not limited to:
* Surgical preparation, assisting, protocol design and monitoring anesthetized patients (at least 1-year experience in surgery required)
* Dental procedures and obtaining dental radiographs
* Venipuncture
* Intravenous catheter placement
*Work up to 10 hour days with the ability to be flexible, Weekend rotations, Treatment shifts, and Holiday shifts required
* Laboratory sample preparation and interpretation
* Performing digital radiology
* Skilled patient handling and restraint. We practice low stress handling to help our patients have a positive experience.
* Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
* Participate in client communication and education
Hospital hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM- 7:00 PM. Saturdays: 8:00 AM-12:00PM.
