Our office is looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner to work on a part-time basis.
They would primarily be responsible for performing follow-up visits, re-evaluations, performing trigger point injections as needed, and such other duties that are customary for mid-level providers in pain management clinics.
We seek an individual that is capable of using their medical training and clinical judgment to provide professional, responsive care to our patients in a manner that is in line with the clinic’s values and standards. We expect this individual to be properly educated, highly motivated, responsible, and well-mannered.
About Us
- Established in 2002, we are a REFERRAL-ONLY based practice (NO walk-ins allowed / prospective patients are screened before admittance to the clinic)
- We have built strong relationships and maintain a stellar reputation with the medical community in Bakersfield and the surrounding areas.
- The practice focuses on delivering the highest standard of care to improve outcomes, quality of life, functional capacity and comfort for patients who are suffering from chronic pain. The emphasis at the practice is diagnosing and treating patients' conditions for the purpose of achieving long-term results; as opposed to simply medicating their symptoms.
- Our clinic is NOT a "pill-mill". Our healthcare providers believe in minimal reliance on oral pain medications in order to prevent long-term dependence. Patients are given ample attention by the healthcare providers (i.e. providers are not slammed with 45+ patients per day to be treated like cattle) and they are offered an array of treatments for their chronic pain (e.g. interventional pain management procedures, physical therapy, acupuncture, PRP treatment, referrals to other specialties, etc.)
- Strict protocols and guidelines are in place to protect the providers' licenses and for the safety of the patients. Patients that do not abide by our rules are discharged.
- We do NOT have satellite offices that would require our providers to travel to multiple locations to see patients.
- Our facilities (clinic and ambulatory surgery center) are next door to each other and are located off of Stockdale Hwy (just north of Mercy Southwest).
