Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant/hotel.
- Take guests to their tables and provide them with menus.
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station.
- Manage the waitlist and seating chart to ensure efficient table turnover.
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information about the restaurant..
- Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service of guests.
- Assist in coordinating special events or parties.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to handle high call volumes.
- Knowledge of restaurant is good to have.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Note: Previous experience as a host/host in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
