United Dairy Farmers is looking for full-time Maintenance Supervisor, at our Bakery in Blue Ash, OH. Mon - Fri, but some weekends may be required. This is a salaried position with great starting pay plus a $2,500 Sign-On- Bonus.
Sign-On Bonus of $2,500 will be paid in $625 increments after 9 months-12 months- 15months-18months (good attendance is required to be eligible for Sign-On Bonus).
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Plan and supervise daily building and mechanical maintenance operations.
- Be a positive role model to all associates through your words, actions, appearance, and lead by example mindset. Must work with a purpose, set, meet, and exceed all equipment maintenance and preventative expectations.
- Supervise a staff of two maintenance technicians, assist in interviewing and hiring, train new employees, plan and issue daily work assignments; monitor work in progress and check completed work.
- Visually inspect, test and clean machinery and equipment as need for proper operation.
- Monitor maintenance expenditures and ensure that budget guidelines are met, plan schedule, supervise, and assist with all regular and special functions, activities, and projects of the maintenance unit, including on-going preventative maintenance tasks.
- Preform various planning and forward thinking tasks for routine work orders.
- Ensure that all HACCP and CCP guidelines as established by QA are followed.
- Ensure and supervise the start of all the equipment as needed to meet production requirements.
- Detect any malfunction of equipment, troubleshoot and diagnose problems, and perform the repairs to ensure high reliability.
- Complete all required maintenance WO (work orders) through accurate reporting into the maintenance MP2 System.
- Disassemble defective machinery and equipment, install new or repaired parts.
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance, repairs, improvements, and related project work on production equipment, facility, and utility systems in accordance with maintenance standards, keeping a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Work in conjunction with team members, the operations and sanitation team to identify and correct any safety or equipment issues in order to facilitate a safe and problem free environment.
- Willingness to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed and in emergency situations.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and forward thinker who likes solving problems and fixing things with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of basic electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding and fabrication, and food processing equipment function and maintenance.
- Must be capable to follow written and verbal instructions in order to perform assigned maintenance tasks.
- Confer regularly with immediate supervisor, other plant staff to plan and coordinate activities, exchange information, and resolve problems.
- Deal With outside vendors and contractors as needed.
- Supervise/carry out the maintenance of records of all maintenance work.
- Prepare administrative reports on maintenance activities/projects.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Trade School study in machinery, Industrial Machinery Mechanics, HVAC Mechanics, plus eight to ten years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- 3 years’ experience in electrical
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Any and all other reasonable job duties as assigned by management.
