The Opportunity:
We seek experienced X Ray (Radiologic) Technologists to work in a fast-paced, high-volume orthopedic clinic. Our techs educate and position our patients to obtain a diagnostic image in accordance with the physician s order. Full-time positions available.
Our ideal candidate has:
Minimum 1-year relevant imaging experience preferred.
Certified: Registered Technologist- Radiography.
Knowledge of radiographic equipment CR, DR and PACS.
Ability to maintain patience and composure when faced with challenging situations.
Outstanding customer service skills towards patients and team members; and
Ability to pass background check.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician.
- Operates DR equipment.
- Perform quality x-ray exams in CR and DR rooms.
- Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time.
- Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area.
- Instructs patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
- Maintains technique charts in rooms in compliance with state law.
- Import/Export images into Steindler’s PACs system and export images onto discs as requested.
- Operates portable radiographic equipment and monitors its operation.
- Complies with infection control procedures.
- Assures compliance with the rules and regulations of HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs.
- Responsible for performing EKG examinations.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in patient areas.
- Answer patient questions and listen to their concerns.
- Check CR and DR lists at the end of the day for volume verification.
- Work in fluoroscopy clinic when coverage is needed.
Equipment Used
This job operates in a professional medical clinic environment and will be using CR and DR X Ray equipment. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-exempt level position and the hours may fluctuate Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Travel
Minimal travel to outreach clinics may be required.
