CRDN of Greater Charlotte is a disaster response company that specializes in removal and restoration of contents affected by an insurance loss. We are searching for a contents lead technician to train and develop our current contents packout and restoration associates. Ideal candidates will have the confidence to guide customers through a stressful event in a sensitive and reassuring manner. We will train any hired candidate to use company and industry specific software. Candidates need to be able to work in less-than-ideal conditions as many claims are without power or running water due to the loss.
Daily responsibilities include:

First responder to loss sites

Train and support on-site associates during packout and cleaning process

Use company specific tools to create inventory of all affected items

Performs water/smoke damage pack-out of contents, textiles, electronics and artwork, removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials and pack-back of items after cleaning/remediation as directed by supervisor

Loading removed items onto truck for removal and unloading items for storage

Returning processed items to job site including reconnecting appliances

Report any equipment malfunction to the supervisor

Report any customer problems or damage to the supervisor

Complete assigned job tasks according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Move up to 50 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting and crouching is required. Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given. For safety reasons, respirators may be used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face. Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions such as with or without air conditioning or electrical power at the job site. You are on the front lines of restoring the clients property by being first on site after disasters strike (i.e., sudden floods, fires, mold remediation) and will be a part of a team that leads to the mitigation effort to restore the property.
Additional Requirements
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Leadership experience in contents packout and restoration process
- Previous experience in contents restoration estimating or billing experience is a plus
- Must pass a background check (no felonies or violent misdemeanors for at least 7 years)
- Be available for occasional overtime and Saturday work
Wage and Benefits
- $18-$22/hour depending on experience
- Mileage paid for business use of personal vehicle
- Overtime available as business dictates
- This position will be reporting directly to the franchise owner and has significant opportunity for growth
