The RN –Clinical Quality Training Specialist trains new and current team members to support success in the delivery of quality care and services to residents. The RN-clinical quality Training Specialist champions the company’s policies and procedures while promoting clinical outcomes for residents.
Position is multi-facility. Depending on point of origin, overnight travel may be required. No on-call is required.
Responsibilities
- Fosters an environment of compliant patient-centered quality care and caring during on-site visits and distance monitoring of centers as assigned.
- Serves as Nursing Leadership program preceptor and mentor to the administrative director of nursing services and nursing leadership team.
- Collaborate with the Regional Clinical Nurse Consultants regarding the delivery and scheduling of training in support of identified clinical needs related to consultant auditing.
- Demonstrates proficiency and ability to educate, implement, and monitor physical assessment, nursing process, critical thinking, disease management, infection control, and QAPI process.
- Communicates factual, objective, quantifiable information to center’s quality assessment and assurance (QAA) committee, VPCO, RDO, and VPO as appropriate.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and facilitates utilization of electronic medical record (EMR) components in identifying real-time and distance monitoring of changes in conditions and consistency in care delivery.
- Train centers on how to identify risk and trains facilitate in drafting corrective action plans, and how to effectively communicate progress improvement.
- Demonstrates ability to train centers through on-going survey preparedness, facilitate survey management, and assist in findings investigation, and corrective action.
- The measure required training compliance through record review.
- Utilize effective adult learning principles to promote increased trainee understanding and delivery of quality care and services to residents.
- Maintain proficiency in company policies and procedures associated with clinical and resident care as well as the state and federal laws that govern assisted living.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
- Champion hospitality and customer service delivery to residents, families, and visitors.
- Potential overnight travel is required up to 50% of the time. (Note, this may vary based on home location.)

Qualifications
- RN license required. Associate degree or Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Hold or obtain, and maintain in good standing, registered nurse license(s) in the state(s) in which training will be conducted.
- Hold or obtain, and maintain in good standing, certifications for training on applicable state-specific programs.
- 2-5 years of experience working as a registered nurse in a long-term setting.
- Previous experience as a Director of Nursing.
- Strong oral and written communication and the ability to present effectively to small and large.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
Work Environment
- Will work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases transmitted via blood and bodily fluids and respiratory droplets.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee will perform activities that will require lifting of objects up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
