Position: Mental Health Therapist - Animal Assisted Day Treatment Program for Adolescents

We're seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist to contribute to our adolescent day treatment program, integrating the healing power of animals into our therapeutic approach.
Position Overview:
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive group and individual therapy services to adolescents in our animal-assisted day treatment program. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver culturally responsive care that meets the diverse needs of our clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, or related field.
· LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, LADC preferred.
· At least 2 years of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting serving culturally diverse populations.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
· Ability to work with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (KIPU is preferred).
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and demands.
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues to incorporate the needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and animal-assisted therapy techniques.
· Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each adolescent client.
· Provide crisis intervention and support to clients and their families as needed.
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in the EMR system.
· Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions.
· Stay current on best practices in adolescent mental health treatment and animal-assisted therapy through ongoing professional development.
