Job Title: Grant Specialist Sr (Pre-Award Specialist - Complex Grants)

Role Overview: As a Post-Award Grant Specialist Sr, you will:
- Lead and Support: Mentor and guide the CGS post-award team to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Manage Finances: Oversee sponsored award accounting and compliance, ensuring all charges are allowable and aligned with policies.
- Policy Expert: Provide advanced-level guidance on university and sponsor policies.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to faculty and staff, addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the CGS team to refine processes, create tools, and support continuous improvement.
- Financial Oversight: Conduct monthly reviews of sponsored awards, ensuring accurate financial management and compliance.
- Policy Guidance: Serve as a point of contact for compliance reviews and policy interpretation.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor team members and university staff on post-award processes.
Skills and Competencies:
- Leadership and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced knowledge of grant management and compliance.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Master's degree + 4 years of experience (preferred), or
- Bachelor's degree + 6 years of experience, or
- Associate's degree + 8 years of experience, or
- High School diploma/GED + 10 years of experience, or
- Doctorate degree + 1 year of experience.
- Related experience in grant proposal, management, finance, accounting, budgeting, or program coordination (required).
