We are seeking a full-time LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our practice. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package that includes a 401k plan and health insurance.
Our clinics in upper Manhattan and Inwood serve approximately 20,000 patients annually in gentrifying neighborhoods with strong working-class components. We see an average of 70-80 patients daily at each of our two locations. We encourage in-patient visits for comprehensive evaluation and treatment. To maintain effective lines of communication with our patients and their families, we also offer telemedicine consultations as appropriate. Our medical staff currently includes eleven physicians.
Our mission at Pediatrics 2000 is to provide the highest standards of compassionate, culturally sensitive, quality patient care. Every day, newborns to 21-year-olds are seen for physical exams and treatment, screened for hearing, vision and developmental issues and given immunizations. What sets our practice apart for providers and patients alike is the unique arts-based model for community medicine that Pediatrics 2000 has designed and implemented. By fully integrating art into our pediatric practice, our providers are uniquely empowered to effectively communicate with patients and their family members including at-risk children and adolescents, about health literacy and to encourage healthy living. Because this effort relies upon a continuing dialogue among medical staff, collaborative institutions such as Columbia Affiliated Physicians, artists, graphic designers, architects and educators, our practice applies Albert Einstein’s insight that after a certain high level of technical skill is achieved, science and art tend to coalesce in esthetics, plasticity and form.
