Job Title: Technical Project Manager (TPM)

Position Summary
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will be responsible for end-to-end oversight and organization of large-to-strategic in scale, cross-functional technology, with an emphasis on software application development, IT infrastructure or cybersecurity projects. Through collaboration with internal technology teams and internal clients the TPM will work closely with the Business Analysts to execute projects following methodologies such as SLDLC and Agile, ensuring that security measures are integrated throughout the project lifecycle. The TPM facilitates controlling the project budget and timeline and keeping the project team on track to deliver on time and within scope to meet stakeholder expectations with a strong emphasis on IT and cybersecurity considerations. The TPM will contribute to the definition and facilitation of Slavic401k solutions to track progress and mitigate delays and project impacts due to change in scope. This position is responsible for ensuring deliverables support initially agreed upon timelines and requirements, and security standards. The TPM is responsible for planning, budgeting, overseeing, documenting, and reporting on all aspects of the project, with a focused attention on technology solutions and security measures. Additionally, the TPM provides leadership and guidance to the project team – including junior project managers.
Essential Functions
- Provides ongoing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to all members of the Project team – including Business Analysts, Product Designers, Developers, Platform Administrators, and junior Project Managers among others, with a specific focus on IT and Security considerations.
- Estimate, plan, communicate, execute, and administer multiple projects across the full project lifecycle, varying from large-to-strategic in scale with respect to business impact and cybersecurity requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Designers, Developers, Platform Administrators, junior Project Managers, and team to ensure project milestones are met, and effectively support the project by performing data collection and analysis specific to every project, with a keen eye on IT and Security implications.
- Actively engage and collaborate with stakeholders to support the project team in critical thinking, technology development, and recommendations, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity.
- Align resources, manage issues and risks, and coordinate various elements necessary to complete the project, with a primary focus on IT and Security.
- Strengthen the company’s research and development efforts by keeping up with industry trends and insights in technology processes, methodologies, and cybersecurity measures.
- Work with the Business Analysts, Product Designers, Developers, Platform Administrators, and junior Project Managers among others, to prepare reports – including, but not limited to, variance reports, status reports, project health reports, – for use by management and executive leadership.
- Review and understand preliminary analyses provided by Business Analysts to begin planning and executing based of the reports.
- Maintain dashboards in project management software.
- Manage project teams using standard project methodology, ensuring quality, and providing stakeholder support.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Work with Business Analysts, Product Designers, Developers, Platform Administrators, and junior Project Managers among others, to collaborate on cross-functional efforts, emphasizing IT and Security integration.
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings: status meetings, planning meetings, review meetings, working sessions, etc.
Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of PMI knowledge and ability to apply PMP, DASM, Agile Certification, or equivalent certification in project management field preferred, with a focus on IT and Security.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to maintain project plans and pull reports for leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technology project management principles and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on IT and Security best practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the technology project team and staff in both business and technology using the appropriate language, with a specific focus on IT and Security terminology.

Technical Project Managers should be conversant with the technologies being used, understand software or product development intricacies, and be capable of troubleshooting technical issues.
- Risk Management and Quality Assurance: They should be able to identify potential risks and have strategies in place to mitigate them. Ensuring the quality of deliverables is also a key responsibility.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communication and the ability to engage stakeholders are vital. This includes conveying complex technical information in a way that non-technical team members can understand.
- Leadership and Team Development: Leading the team effectively and fostering a positive work environment are important. This includes conflict resolution, motivation, and promoting collaboration.
- Infrastructure and Software Development Knowledge: Understanding infrastructure and software development processes is essential.
- Time Management, Leadership, and Planning: Proficiency in standard project management skills like time management, leadership, communication, decision-making, and planning is required.
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of people leadership experience with a focus on IT and Security teams.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a technology project manager or in a similar role, with an emphasis on IT and Security projects.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with project management software such as Asana, Trello, Jira, MS Project.
- Experience in the financial technology industry a plus, with a specific focus on IT and Security.
- Experience working within the framework of a hybrid project environment (Agile and Waterfall) a plus, with an understanding of IT and Security integration.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer sciences, business, or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates & Licenses
- PMP certification a plus, but not required.

This role will have a base pay range of
$92,450-$124,770 annual salary. Please know, this is the base range only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for this role.
This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
