The NICU is recognized as a Level IV NICU — the highest level of care for neonates. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support® program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions.

Provides developmentally appropriate care to infants born 22 weeks and above
- 1-2 patients per RN depending on stability of the baby

This position will be working 60 hours every two weeks on the day/night shift, 12 hour shifts and every third weekend.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
Provides care to patients with complex NICU needs.

Performs advanced monitoring using current technology

High Frequency ventilation
-
Cares for surgical patients with congenital anomalies, intubated patients and patients with tracheostomies

Total Body Cooling (TBC), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)

Central arterial lines/monitoring and other venous lines
Qualifications:
-
1 year of RN experience OR at least 6 months of current employment at UMMCH as a NICU RN

MN RN License
-
BLS
Preferred
-
BSN or BAN
-
Certification in related specialty.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire
