The Administrative Specialist I (Lead Office Assistant) position supports the entire unit which is located in Winston Salem. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to managerial, supervisory, professional, and para-professional staff located within this unit.
Job responsibilities include the following:
- Support for Unit Manager, Assistant Unit Manager and Counselors in Charge
- Supervision of clerical staff within the unit
- Perform clerical duties which include, but not limited to maintaining and processing records for all personnel
- Compile and process monthly reports
- Train new staff
- Correspond with state HR in reference to personnel issues
- Provide maintenance and order supplies for all office equipment and general work supplies
- Maintain and manage property, contracts, and agreements related to workspace, and mail distribution
