Summary
The Dental Center at Lowell CHC is looking for a compassionate and flexible individual to join our team as a Dental Care Coordinator. You will be an essential team member and serve as the first point of contact for many of our patients. You will help people gain access to exceptional care in our state-of-the art Dental Center that improves the health of the patients it serves through prevention, treatment and education. Duties and Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to all patients and staff in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment.

Schedule appointments and address patient questions in person, over the phone, and via electronic patient portal.

Confirm patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments, collect copays and deductibles when indicated.

Submit pre-estimates for treatment to insurances as needed.

Review non-covered service costs with patients as needed.

Maintain full clinic schedule by utilizing call lists, appointment requests, urgent appointment needs, and other means necessary.

Utilize integrated electronic health record for scheduling, registering, patient communication, and communication within the organization.

Ensure readiness prior to start of business day and perform all actions needed for close of business day.

Utilize language lines when needed to communicate with patients.

Demonstrate effective prioritization of day-to-day operations.

Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and company policies and procedures.

Maintain open lines of communication with staff, peers and supervisors in Dental Center and other Lowell CHC departments.

Participate in educational meetings and training activities as outlined by departmental guidelines and goals.

Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, areas and workstations.

All other duties as assigned and needed.
Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Some experience in the healthcare field and/or insurance knowledge is preferred.

Spanish, Portuguese, Khmer, Kiswahili language skills a plus.
