Warren Wentworth Ambulance Service (WWAS) is a full time 24/7; 365 days a year staffed non-profit 501(c)3 organization serving the communities of Warren, Wentworth, Benton, Dorchester, Glencliff, and Piermont. Our services provide Emergent and Non-Emergent care, including transports to hospitals and nursing homes in the surrounding area. We provide services for: Speare Memorial Hospital, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Cottage Hospital, Pemi Baker Home Health and Newfound Area Nursing Association for all Basic Life Support (BLS), Advance Life Support (ALS) and Hospice transfers.
WWAS currently averages 650 calls a year, between 911 services and inter-facility hospital transports. We provide our staff with flexible scheduling (12 or 24-hour shifts), paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, on-call stipends, and a positive, workable, relaxed, atmosphere.
The EMS Provider is responsible for complying with all regulatory requirements, WWAS departmental policy and practice, safety policies and practice, hospital policies, and operating within the scope of a certified EMS Provider as defined by the state of New Hampshire. The EMS Provider must possess the required knowledge and skills to appropriately care for and manage neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of an approved EMS Provider course
Minimum Experience Requirements
- Experience in an EMS setting is preferred, but not required.
Minimum Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (CPR).
- Current Valid State driver's license
- New Hampshire EMT Certification
Physical Requirements
- *Very Heavy Work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Salary
- EMT - $24 an hour starting pay.
- EMT-A - $26 an hour starting pay.
