Leary Management Group, Inc., a property management company near Disney, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated and confident Maintenance Technician to join our upbeat, driven, team. This person must be dependable, reliable and possess a strong work ethic.

Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and orderliness of the property and oversight of the maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction in accordance with department protocol.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order related software program
- Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements
- Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol
- Maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
- Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
- Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times with tenants, co-workers, vendors, etc.
- Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
- Troubleshooting and making routine repairs in the following areas: Painting, Electrical, Plumbing, Flooring, Carpentry and other building maintenance items as needed
- Able to install and troubleshoot appliance issues with washer & dryer, stove/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Maintenance Technicians Requirements
- 2+ years of related work experience and technical training.
- High school graduate or GED required
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations
- Be able to take direction and follow instructions
- Must be safety conscious
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion
- 24 hour availability for emergencies and as part of an on-call rotation.
- Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
- Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.
- Must be resourceful and willing to pitch in wherever needed
- Must be a self-starter, and able to recognize need before a task is assigned
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software
- Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
