Job Summary:
We're currently seeking Registered Nurses in and around the Los Angeles area to provide compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of patients receiving Hospice services. Your responsibilities will include delivering skilled nursing care, conducting assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient well-being. Strong communication skills are crucial for educating patients and families on care plans and providing emotional support during challenging times. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to travel between locations are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
- Assist with diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Provide health coaching to promote healthy lifestyle choices
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in California
- Proven experience as a registered nurse
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Required)
- Valid Driver's license
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent clinical skills, including proficiency in physical examinations, wound care, and administration of medications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
