The Engineer, WMS will assist in the design and development of WMS solutions to support warehouse operations and projects. Under the guidance of the senior engineer, WMS this role involves participating in system configuration, testing, and deployment to ensure effective implementation of WMS systems. The Junior WMS Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse management processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of WMS solutions, participating in system design, configuration, testing, and deployments to ensure solutions meet operational needs and strategic goals

Collaborate with the Senior Engineer, WMS and operations team to conduct in-depth analyses, identify root causes of WMS issues, and design effective solutions to improve system efficiency

Assist the Senior Engineer, WMS to address system issues, supporting timely and effective communication with our managed service providers and vendors

Provide second-level production support for WMS operations, addressing outages, process failures, and other issues promptly to minimize downtime and operational impact

Diagnose issues by analyzing system logs, user reports, and other data; evaluate resolution options and recommend the effective resolution based on time and cost

Serve as a strategic thought partner to the operations team to align WMS initiatives with broader business objectives and drive continuous improvement
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Experience
-
Strong knowledge of WMS process flows and best practices around picking, packing, replenishment, order waving, receiving, put away and RF Technology

Experience working in Logimax system highly desired; alternative enterprise grade WMSs acceptable

1+ year(s) experience with developing SQL code, stored procedures, functions, views, and extracts; experience with DB2 and relational databases strongly preferred

Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Warehousing concepts
