Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager/PLC Engineer

Summary: The Assistant Facilities Maintenance Manager is to be responsible for assisting and supporting the maintenance and improvement of our manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for assessing the facility's resource requirements, designing and optimizing the facility's layout and critical operational systems, and overseeing the maintenance of infrastructure and equipment.
To be successful in this role, the candidate should be able to develop and implement utility plans, perform system evaluations, and establish operational efficiency and should have excellent project management skills and strong knowledge of structural code requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
· Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports.
· Determining facility and equipment specifications.
· Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
· Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
· Experience in PLC operation and programming.
· Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
· Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation.
· Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
· Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
· Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
· Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
· Assist and oversee project planning and tracking of all maintenance related projects to completion within the allotted timeframe, as well as reporting to customer and requestor of project timelines, progress, and completion. Responsible for reporting to Site Director and Customer on a daily basis.
· Assist in overseeing the tracking and completion of all PM’s and CM’s in accordance with appropriate timelines. Responsible for reporting out completion to Site Director and Customer Daily.
· Review the root cause analysis to evaluate equipment and manpower resource requirements.
· Attend all planning and coordination meetings with plant engineers across a wide spectrum of project assignments to include but not limited to weekend planning, downtime planning, bus outage, etc.
· Assists in establishing budgets and resource requirements for planned maintenance and manufacturing projects. This includes forecasting manpower, equipment and material needs.
· Establish and monitor standardized work and ensure standardized work is being improved upon for accuracy and detail to reflect relevant information of safety, ergonomics, and materials required.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk long distances, climb stairs; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Education and/or combined Experience:
· Bachelors in Engineering, construction management, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
· Holds a Journeymen card and/or 8 years of skilled trades or Industrial Maintenance experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· At least 3 years in facilities management.
· Strong manufacturing and business knowledge is preferred.
· Previous experience with Union Skilled Trades preferred.
· Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
· Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Project management skills.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Payroll systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office is preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
