We have full time 12 hour positions on the Day and Night shifts. and are seeking experienced nurses for Medical/ Surgical Nurses, with Progressive Care experience, to join our team! This is a great opportunity, for a new Registered Nurse, to start his/her nursing career at BronxCare Health System!!!
Unit Description:
- Patient does not require ICU level of care, yet patient’s condition is too complex to be cared for on the medical surgical unit.
- Every 4 hours vital signs and more frequently as indicated by MD order.
- Initiate ICU level of care while patient waits for I
- Continuous bedside Telemetry monitoring.
Downgraded Critical care patient.
- Hi-Flow /CPAP/BiPAP.
- Actively weaning vent patients.
- Chest tube.
- Patients with EVD drains who do not require hourly monitoring (Weaning) and does not require ICU level of care.
- No Paralytic agents.
- Titration of vasopressors - Levophed (Norepinephrine), Dopamine, Phenylephrine, Titration of sedations, Fentanyl , and Propofol
Requirements
New York State Registered Nurse License
New York State Registered Nurse Registration
College Degree
BLS from American Heart Association
ACLS from American Heart Association
Other Requirements
Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communications skills
Communication skills written and verbal skills required
