The GenCon 2024 Event - will bring hundreds of publishers, artists and vendors, as well as thousands of gaming enthusiasts to Indiana Convention Center (ICC) for the traditional annual celebration of tabletop gaming culture. The Gen Con convention is the largest event of its kind in North America. Mandatory training on Tuesday, July 30th at 2:30pm At the Convention Center No parking is reimbursed Gencon Event 2024 Schedule:
- Tuesday July 30th – Sunday August 4th
- Mandatory training on Tuesday, July 30th at 2:30pm
- Gen Con being open 24 hours, But majority of shifts will be between 1st and 2nd shift (do not lock anyone in)
- The event is from Tuesday July 30th – Sunday August 4th (they must be available most of these days)
- Must come to our office (9777 N. College) to complete orientation – expect to be here for an hour
Orientation:
- Must come to our office (BC Forward Office - 9777 N. College Ave Indianapolis, IN 46280) for orientation.
- Orientation Timing: Any weekday at either 10am OR 2PM.
- Shift preference – This will not be guaranteed, and if they’re available for multiple shifts that is even better!
Role:Badge/Event Register: Serves as the manager for customers buying badges or ticketsCustomer Service: Serves as the manager for customers buying badges/tickets and refunding said items Job titles include:Registration Attendees - Must be quick on computers / data entry. Able to balance a cash drawer.Fulfillment - Prepares all the badges and pre-ordered passes that the attendees will be picking up at Will Call. Must be very detail oriented.Customer Service - Must be comfortable working attendees who may be upset. Good with computers, data entry, problem solving and cash handling.Greeter / Information Booth Attendants - Must be friendly, personable, willing to answer the same question(s) for hours on end.Will Call - Able to hustle and do simple troubleshooting finding tickets.
