Job Summary:
Carries out all master level chiller operational maintenance and troubleshooting functions to include: HVAC systems, chilled water systems, split refrigeration,/Dx, VAV, FCU, PIU, fume hoods, exhaust fans, gas heaters, chillers, cooling towers, controls, air compressors, Freon, chemical treatments, ice machines and filters. Prioritizes workload, sets deadlines, and schedules work assignments for HVAC staff. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Facilities management and staff. This position will advise and counsel: Facilities management and staff. This position will supervise: Facilities HVAC staff.
Duties:
Job Duty 1 -
Lead, plan and supervise activities of lower level HVAC staff.
Job Duty 2 -
Complete all operational, maintenance, and troubleshooting functions of chillers and refrigeration systems (to include, but not limited to chillers, cooling towers, pumps, valves, controls, etc.) and associated support equipment.
Job Duty 3 -
Test and troubleshoot components of pneumatic and electronic control systems and natural gas and/or propane burner and supply system.
Job Duty 4 -
Maintain records, assignments and other administrative documentation.
Job Duty 5 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Ability to work outside of typical business hours, as needed
Required Experience
Eight to ten years of job related experience
Skills:
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Advanced State of Georgia HVAC License and/or advanced boiler operator or inspector license; formal verifiable training programs (ie-Union License) in a related field
SKILLS
Master-level knowledge and skills required to operate; clean, inspect, adjust, maintain, repair, replace, calibrate, test and troubleshoot chiller/refrigeration systems and associated piping systems. These skills should be Intermediate-level for all HVAC equipment with associated support systems. Supervisory/leadership skills.
