Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Munchies Candy Store. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and customer-oriented environment. The primary responsibilities include stocking shelves, managing inventory, operating the cash register, preparing coffee, and serving customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Stocking and Inventory Management:
- Receive and unpack candy shipments, ensuring accurate counts and quality control.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom, shelves, and displays in an orderly and visually appealing manner.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify low-stock items, and notify the store manager for reordering.
- Cashier Duties:
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, processing cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions.
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service at the checkout counter, answering questions and offering assistance.
- Maintain knowledge of pricing, promotions, and discounts to ensure accurate and up-to-date transactions.
- Coffee Preparation:
- Prepare and serve coffee, adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of coffee preparation area and equipment.
- Offer recommendations and provide exceptional service to customers regarding coffee selections.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Assist customers in selecting candy products, offering recommendations and answering their queries.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns or resolving any issues that may arise.
- Store Maintenance:
- Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Regularly check product expiration dates and remove expired items from shelves.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by following safety protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
- Passion for candies, confectionery, and providing exceptional customer experiences.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry boxes or packages weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
