Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Report to: Plant Director
Department: Maintenance
Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and direction to the maintenance department in a 24/7 facility. Additional responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing maintenance work orders; providing complete preventive and predictive maintenance to all production machinery and production support equipment; equipment and cost reduction programs; and developing and monitoring budgets for Facilities and Maintenance Departments as well as capital projects.

Leadership- Provide active day-to-day leadership for a highly energized, integrated, cross-functional manufacturing team.
● Provide direct supervision to Maintenance Technicians and other related positions as assigned
● Work closely and cooperatively with Production Manager(s), Facility Engineer, Maintenance Planner and Engineering Manager to carry out plans and objectives
● Supervise the development and management of maintenance techniques to maximize machine utilization and reliability
● Maintains and develops maintenance staff by coaching, counseling, training, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, appraising job results , and recruiting
● Manage the utilization of a full capability maintenance management software package, along with sound policies and practices, to maximize the overall effectiveness of the maintenance process
● Manage the effectiveness of the spare parts inventory to ensure maximum parts availability and usage accountability, while minimizing inventory values
● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
● Establish and meet key machine maintenance objectives
● Develop safe maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
● Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
● Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
● Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
● Oversee the purchase of all related maintenance supplies and plant equipment repair parts for all equipment in facility.
● Oversee and direct maintenance personnel, equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.
● Inspect and evaluate physical plant, grounds, and related equipment.
● Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
● Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
● Identify, negotiate, and monitor contractors and contractor agreements and manage relationships with contractors and service providers
● Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities especially equipment downtime
Safety-Ensure Safety is first
● Ensure all Maintenance techs understand the importance of safety and promote a strong safety-minded culture in the Plant
● Ensure all safety training is effective and current
● Management of behavioral based programs which drive a safety culture and reduce risk
● Enforce compliance with safety rules and procedures, timely accident investigations, Safety Contacts and Safe Start participation.
● Develop, implement, and monitor OSHA/ANSI safety procedures and safe work methods to achieve safety goals and objectives
● Lead regular meetings to review department issues. Prioritize and assign ownership for open items. Track items to closure and ensure follow-up with key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
● Prefer a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with at least 6 years of progressively responsible maintenance experience. Experience should include a minimum of 3 years Leadership/Supervisory experience.
REQUIREMENTS
● Driver's licenses
● Two to three years Engineering experience to include strong electrical and mechanical skills preferred
Technical skills
● Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley or Siemens platforms for drive and PLC programming
● Strong electrical skills for troubleshooting, repairing, wiring, and modifying high and low voltage systems. 480-3 phase and lower voltage systems are used
● Proficient mechanical background for machine maintenance aptitude
● General understanding of plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics
● Have a positive open attitude and professional behavior
● Strong electrical skills for training, both theoretical and practical
● Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
