Description:
Under the direction of the Parts Manager, or as company policy dictates, sells marine parts, equipment, and services in marine parts store.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains parts inventory by verifying supplies and placing orders when order-points are reached

Completes sale by entering purchased items into management system; obtaining payment; adding purchase to credit account; issuing sales receipts.

Receives returned items by inspecting items; returning payment; issuing credit; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged items to supplier

Post work order parts on work orders to correct job line before the service tech leaves the parts office

Takes customer orders by phone or in person

Coordinate with service department on any and all special-order parts to make sure parts are available for scheduled service dates.

Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available

Receives, marks, and stocks parts in stockroom or on floor according to prearranged system

Reconciles cash drawer till with sales slips, and credit card charges

Prepares items to be shipped

Takes inventory of stock

Adjusts inventory system recording incoming and outgoing parts into management system

Reads catalogs, software, or internet for replacement part stock number and price
-
Ensure parts area maintains a clean and professional atmosphere
-
Maintains safe and secure environment by adhering to and enforcing safety standards and procedures
$20-24/hour DOE
