Key Responsibilities
As an Account Manager, you will work with an internal group from other departments as well as Northstar client and outlet facilities to provide exceptional customer service and support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage existing relationships and daily transactions with critical business partners.
- Service assigned accounts quickly and efficiently while providing high-quality customer experience and support.
- Work to professionally resolve/deescalate all issues for assigned accounts, bringing any critical issues to the proper points of escalation.
- Complete required reporting in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Perform a number of accounting functions as well as verify services pricing with internal teams and external partners.
- Proactively throughout the month and prior to the monthly close period, request and review transactional data (pricing and weights of shipments/services) to ensure accuracy for the Finance team.
- On-call hours are required with this position (this is compensated with additional pay).
Requirements
- 1 – 2 years of experience in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Northstar Account Managers spend much of their time interacting with our partners on the phone or through email, making communication the key to our success!
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Database management experience is preferred.

Our Account Manager role is a work-from home position, though occasional travel to Northstar Recycling’s Little Falls (New York) office may be required. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt role, starting at $20.00/hour. Our required business hours are Monday-Friday, from 8:00am – 5:00pm EST.
