Organization Background and Current Status: The Renaissance Collaborative, Inc (TRC) is award-winning non-for-profit housing and supportive service agency serving the historical Bronzeville Community on Chicago's mid-south side. TRC's mission is to promote self-sufficiency through an innovative and comprehensive network of supportive housing, employment, and educational services. These services are provided to those who are formerly homeless, and low- to moderate-income residents of the near and mid-south side of Chicago. TRC is dedicated to providing innovative affordable housing environments that renew people and build healthier communities. TRC combines housing and on-site supportive services for the residents it serves. It works in partnership with other community civic, economic, and social service organizations to achieve its mission. The goals of TRC are to:

Position Description:
The Fund Development Manager plays a pivotal role in TRC’s mission by working directly with the Executive Director and Director of Operations to ensure sufficient funding to meet annual fundraising goals. This position will be responsible for ensuring that TRC is able to maintain and expand organizational outreach and impact by helping to identify, analyze, and assess funding partners, funding opportunities, while stewarding potential donor prospects, and recurring donors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft all grant proposals and reports in coordination with the Executive Director and Director of Operations.
- Lead research, networking, and other activities to identify and analyze new prospective institutional partnerships and funding.
- Stay current on government funding opportunities and identify those which may align with the agency’s mission, vision, and capacity.
- Coordinates with the Executive Director and Leadership Team to strategize and implement opportunities to leverage institutional partnerships, increase stakeholder participation, and increase annual funding.
- Draft content with the approval of the Executive Director for board and annual reports.
- Leads coordination of effective relationship management and stewardship to meet or exceed needs of current donors and seek renewal of expanded funding as available.
- Serve as the internal team lead to develop, plan, execute all aspects of two annual events.
- Develop and manage innovative ways to expand net proceeds and increase corporate sponsorships and advertising revenue.
- Coordinate event logistics with the support of other staff, the Leadership Team.
- Oversee the production timelines, budget, and evaluations for all events.
- Oversee collateral and author all content for: invite, save the date, gala program, websites, and related web pages, eBlasts, personalized communications for Board and sponsoring churches, guest communications, social media calendar and posts.
- Represents TRC at events to raise awareness of the organization.
- Manage the donor database (Little Green Light), ensuring donor information is current, all donations are correctly entered, and all donors receive acknowledgement for their gifts.
- Compile fundraising reports and dashboards for the Resource Development Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Identify opportunities for analysis and evaluation to support stakeholders’ understanding of fundraising needs and trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree - some course work in resource development/non-profit experience required
- Minimum of five years working in fund/resource development capacity and strategic planning experience
- Must be computer savvy—hardware as well as software.
- Maintain funding data base: Little Green Light, Raiser Edge, etc.
- Proven track record in grant writing and successfully securing grants and other revenue streams
- Ability to think strategically and make decisions independently
- Excellent and persuasive interpersonal verbal and written skills
- Experience working with board of directors and donors strongly desired; ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Energetic, entrepreneurial, and able to work with a minimum of supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Teams
- Demonstrated leadership in use of analytical and problem-solving skills to organize work effectively to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
