Job Summary
The role of a front of house manager is to supervise and coordinate the Host team. They ensure the guest receives a warm welcome and that service runs smoothly. They assist in all aspects of host service and ensure proper sanitation duties are performed each night by their team to the satisfaction of management
Responsibilities and Duties
● In charge of keeping track of the party reservations
● Creating their schedules for the week
● Engaging with every guest that walks in.
● Checks the roster at the beginning of each day to develop a plan for any staffing issues.
● Delegate unfinished tasks to available employees to expedite completing the opening checklist. Answer phone calls throughout the day.
● Engage with guests and look for feedback.
● Assign closing duties for hosts and door attendants and check to make sure they are completed by the end of the shift.
● Ensure each team member has completed their list of stocking and cleaning duties assigned to them by schedule.
● Follow all sanitation rules and regulations
● Comply with all Restaurant policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills
A front of House Manager must have previous restaurant experience, leadership skills, and have a warm and welcoming personality. They must be able to delegate responsibilities and handle stressful situations with guests easily. A high school diploma is required. Training/Education in hospitality is preferred.
