Position Overview: Starr Insurance Companies is seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Underwriter to join our team, specializing in financial lines insurance products. This role will focus on underwriting private and not-for-profit product lines, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our continued success and growth.
Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for pursuing new business and managing an existing book of renewal business in our Management Liability portfolio focusing on privately held and nonprofit companies; which includes Directors & Officers, Employment Practices, Fiduciary Liability and Crime coverage lines.

Underwrite, rate, and service new and renewal submissions and participate in client meetings as required.

Develop and maintain agency and broker relationships.

Negotiate with brokers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting standards to achieve profit objectives.

Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable
Requirements:

3-6 years of Private and/or Nonprofit Company D&O underwriting experience.

Experience and relationships with Financial Lines brokers in both Chicagoland and Texas markets .

Bachelor's Degree preferred
