MWES, located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, is currently recruiting for an experienced Recruiter/HR Generalist. This is a full time, direct hire position. MWES offers competitive wages and a complete benefit package. This position is 100% in office.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years with the full cycle talent acquisition process, from sourcing to onboarding and have experience with day to day HR responsibilities.
Summary
Under general supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Specialist is responsible for the full cycle talent acquisition process, including sourcing, job posting, screening, and interview scheduling. Duties will also include assisting the with onboarding, compensation, benefits, safety and employee relations/retention.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Responsible for company-wide recruitment initiatives. Including creating job postings, reviewing all resumes received, participate and attend college career fairs and other local job fairs and needed.
- Responsible for sending offer letter and coordinating drug screen and background checks for all new hire candidates.
- Deliver a consistent, positive interview experience for all candidates and provide timely feedback to applicants.
- Maintain applicant and employee records within the UKG Ready (HRIS) System.
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Maintain a pipeline for future position openings, work closely with department managers to develop and revise job descriptions as needed.
- Administer new hire evaluations after 30 days of employment and analyze results in order to ensure new hires are confident in their role.
- Assist company safety program to maintain compliance with OSHA laws. Revises safety plan as needed. Coordinate new and existing employee participation to maintain compliance.
- Assist with maintaining company handbook. Works with HR Manager to develop and revise company policies as needed.
- Complete first report of injury forms, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Maintains the OSHA log. Communicates with insurance carrier as needed.
- Conduct wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
- Assist with office administrative tasks such as travel reservations and answering phone calls, as needed.
- Support the planning of company events, client and internal meetings and initiatives.
- Assist with all Federal and State regulations as they relate to hiring and employment.
- Stay current in new developments in the industry. Comply with all quality and safety regulations.
- Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree (AA) in Human Resources and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years Talent Acquisition or HR Operations experience preferably within Manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum 3 years Human Resources experience
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills necessary to interact with employees and leaders at all levels within the organization.
- Requires an attention to detail, analytical skills, the ability to prioritize and evaluate job responsibilities.
