Job Overview: As a Sr. Staff Product Engineer within our Semiconductor/IC team, you will play a pivotal role in the development and lifecycle management of advanced semiconductor products. You will lead cross-functional efforts to ensure product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, providing regular updates to executive management on progress and milestones.
- Define and enforce quality metrics including Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) for all assigned products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify root causes and implement comprehensive solutions for technical issues.
- Drive initiatives to optimize product costs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Coordinate and oversee test operations activities, ensuring adherence to quality and performance requirements.
- Work closely with upper management to plan and execute strategic initiatives aimed at market leadership and operational excellence.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the semiconductor industry with a deep understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle.
- Proven expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and applying statistical methods for product characterization and quality improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and high-level presentations.
- Hands-on experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE), ideally with platforms like 93K, for silicon analysis and debug.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as JMP and familiarity with semiconductor-specific analytics platforms.
- Excellent schedule management and optimization skills, with a keen interest in process automation and efficiency improvement.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in semiconductor product engineering, preferably in roles focused on product development and lifecycle management.
