What You'll Do:
- Lead the preparation of detailed, complex financial accounting reports and statements.
- Analyze financial and investment data to develop accurate forecasts of expenditures and revenues.
- Collaborate with key personnel to coordinate financial activities seamlessly.
- Manage cash flow for grant funding sources, including forecasting needs, monitoring balances, and maintaining checking accounts.
- Conduct in-depth research on accounting and financial issues, developing robust recommendations for policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate operations to ensure robust internal controls are in place and followed.
- Serve as a financial advisor to various departments and external districts, providing crucial financial insights.
- Deliver critical financial information to management, aiding in strategic decision-making.
- Keep a vigilant eye on the organization’s liquidity to ensure financial stability.
- Engage in strategic planning, policy development, and procedural improvements.
- Respond to client and agency inquiries with expert financial advice.
- Manage employees and clients across multiple states, with a special focus on healthcare providers.
- Attend relevant meetings to stay updated on financial and organizational developments.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience. CPA certification is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
- Expertise in investment instruments, maturity calculations, and liquidity evaluation.
- Proficiency in computerized accounting applications.
- Familiarity with laws and regulations governing accounting procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in operating personal computers and related software.
- Ability to plan, implement, and coordinate financial and investment accounting programs.
- Proven ability to research and analyze complex financial data.
- Capability to evaluate and recommend financial accounting policies and procedures.
- Talent for preparing clear and concise financial reports.
- Experience managing employees and clients in multiple states and all necessary tax implications
