Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other components
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
- Use automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot problems
- Assemble, disassemble, and reassemble parts as needed
- Fabricate or modify parts when necessary
- Perform tire services including mounting, balancing, and alignment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with tractor-trailers and heavy equipment is preferred
- HVAC certification is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
