POSITION: Middle School Math Teacher
REPORTS TO: Principal

POSITION SUMMARY: The Middle School Math Teacher fulfills the mission of Saint Agatha School by providing Math instruction within the framework of the school’s philosophy, organization, and policies. This position is anticipated, depending upon sufficient program enrollment.
FLSA: Exempt/37.5 hours per week, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM during the school year. This is a benefit-eligible position, prorated for the duration of the assignment.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to Middle School students.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments.
- Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences in the classroom.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed.
- Foster a love for mathematics by making connections to real-world applications.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification or license in Mathematics preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter and ability to effectively teach mathematical concepts.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education students.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and instructional design principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience teaching Middle School students is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
