Position Summary
The Office Associate coordinates overall office and administrative support for the Department of SLII staff and students. This includes but is not limited to purchasing/maintaining office supplies, processing PAF’s, SAP finance transactions, completing administrative paperwork, maintaining the office space, answering phones, managing the office email account, managing the department social media account, managing the department website, reserving space for programs, maintaining student databases, maintaining budget records, preparing meeting agendas, preparing appropriate documentation for budget reporting, and providing general SLII information as needed to students, faculty, and staff. The Office Associate creates flyers and promotional material for banquets and events (brochure, programs etc.) Dictation, correspondence letters for Exec. Director, monitors both office accounting, budgets, travel, purchases, contracts, payroll, reimbursements, and purchasing card processes as well as those made on behalf of Student Government and its respective agencies.
Develop and implement effective administrative and operational systems to streamline processes within the office. Manage office logistics, including space utilization, equipment inventory, and supplies procurement, ensuring a conducive work environment.
Coordinate and support event planning and execution, including meetings, workshops, conferences, and student engagement activities.
In addition to the administrative support, the Office Associate supervises the student worker positions in the SLII office. The supervision includes providing training to the students prior to and during the academic year.
