Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Behavior Interventionist who thrives in a classroom environment focused on supporting students' social-emotional learning and behavior management. This position offers excellent hours aligned with school schedules (7:45 AM to 3:45 PM), with all holidays off and a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed to support students in achieving social-emotional goals and positive behavior outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to assess student needs and develop effective behavior management strategies.
- Provide direct support and coaching to students in individual or small group settings, promoting skill development in social-emotional learning.
- Monitor and track student progress towards behavior goals, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of student behavior data and intervention outcomes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and school personnel regarding student progress and behavioral concerns.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and workshops to enhance skills in behavior management and social-emotional learning techniques.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters students' academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with students and effectively manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
- Commitment to promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and school priorities.
