The Grandview has a full-time career opportunity available for a Medical Records Clerk! The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining, updating, filing, auditing, releasing and storing medical records. The ideal candidate will have long-term care experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and possess excellent organizational skills.
Medical Records Clerk Job Duties:
- Complete audits as directed using established guidelines and procedures.
- Correctly transcribe doctor orders, medical terminology, medical and other related abbreviations, metric and English measurements, etc.
- Maintain, update, file, and stores all Medical Records as required.
- Mail/deliver forms to physicians for completion to the extent permitted by regulations.
- Answer correspondence in a timely manner regarding release of information from medical records.
- Audit medical record information relating to Medicare and Utilization Review requirements.
- Audit records in preparation for the release of records to outside parties.
- Participate in facility committees and audits, as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident information and facility business.
Medical Records Clerk Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Long-term Care experience preferred
