Established High-End Residential Construction Firm is seeking an experienced Construction Project Management Associate.
Job Description
The Project Management Associate will report directly to the Lead Project Manager and Vice President. The Project Management Associate primary responsibility will be to act as a liaison between the field construction staff, sub-contractors, and clients. The Project Administrator will play a key role in each construction project by leading all administrative aspects from project commencement to project completion. The Project Administrator will be responsible for preparing construction contracts and sub-contracts, tracking construction control estimates, distributing current plan sets to superintendents and subcontractors, preparing and tracking construction schedules, obtaining bids from subcontractors, assisting the accounting department with preparing payroll for the construction field staff, coordinating plan revisions with in-house drafter, maintaining project files, preparing work orders, sourcing, ordering materials for construction projects, preparing and submitting planning applications, and preparing presentations for design review hearings. The Project Administrator will also assist with tasks related to commercial and estate property management services provided by the Company.
This position requires a general understanding of common construction administration practices, knowledge of local planning policies and procedures, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a keen attention to detail, an industrious work ethic, critical thinking skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at once while maintaining the highest level of organization.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or emphasis in construction management, business administration, or will possess prior work experience in construction management, real estate development, or related field, however applicants from all different backgrounds are encouraged to apply as the most important aspect of this role is an enthusiasm for the work and a willingness to learn.
