POSITION TITLE: Field Service Technician II
POSITION DUTIES Review technology reports from customers and field representatives to determine operational issues and solutions for large format printer equipment. Inspect damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem. Expedite solutions for customers. Plan installation and ensure functionality of machinery. Maintain performance records. Debug failed printed circuit boards using digital meters, oscilloscopes and function generators. Rework stations to determine root failure analytics. Conduct surface mount technology rework, through-hole rework, and touch-up of solder joints. Determine trends affecting future design, production, service and maintenance. Recommend modifications to eliminate future problems. Develop service handbooks based on field investigations and engineering changes. Develop, conduct training on equipment for trainees and customers. 60% domestic travel to customers in the Southeast U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Two years experience in job offered or as Service Engineer repairing, diagnosing, installing, and supporting large format inkjet Mimaki printers. 60% domestic travel to customers in the Southeast U.S.
