POSITION TYPE: Project Assistant

LOCATION: Kapolei, HI
POSITION TYPE: Casual Hire
HOURLY RATE: $24.85 per hour, not to exceed 20 hours per week.
OTHER CONDITIONS: Position is expected to start July 1, 2024 and not to exceed September 13, 2024.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform project tasks that promote culturally safe space.

Assist with development and implementation of communications plans for extramurally funded research projects.

Assist with writing, editing, and coordinating for communication products such as newsletters, video and audio clips, blog posts, affiliate profiles, brochures, fact sheets, virtual training and others.

Assist with website improvements and social media outreach such as Instagram, Facebook and others.
-
Develop new content partnerships and social media outreach opportunities.
-
Create responses to media inquiries.

Assist with timely completion of extramurally funded deliverables.

Attend meetings, including but not limited to, community, County, and State level meetings.

Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in creative media, media relations, communications, or related field, or demonstrated experience in one or more of these fields.

Highly organized, attention to detail, results oriented.

Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Strong editing skills in film, content creation, and UX design.

Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and others.

Familiarity with telework programs such as Zoom, Google Suite and Slack.

Interest in treatment and prevention of substance misuse and mental health.

Ability to perform work tasks remotely.
