The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides mental health, substance use, and health and behavioral screening, assessment, and intervention. The LCSW works under the direction and supervision of the CMO. As part of a healthcare team, the LCSW models an inter-disciplinary, integrated behavioral health approach to providing quality patient care. Required:

Master’s degree in social work and licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Maine required.

Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.

High level of comfort in working with primary care medical providers using a consultative style.

Competence in emergency assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of various psychiatric/chemical dependencies to adequately meet position requirements.

Age-based competency for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics and disability-based competency for chemical dependency required.
