What You'll Do
Samsung SoC R&D Lab in San Diego is seeking talented, highly motivated individuals to join our team conducting deployment of NN models on Samsung Exynos SoC in mobile and automotive. In this team, you will work with team members to enhance the ability of Samsung mobile and automotive products and platforms.
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Diego, CA office 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

- Deploy NN models, especially transformer-based models to Samsung Exynos SoC (NPU, GPU, DSP and CPU) and perform optimizations.
- Implement new features and optimize the existing ones in compiler.
- Participate in the design, implementation, integration, and verification, and contribute to the architectural design.
- Prepare presentations, technical reports and patent applications.
What You Bring
- Bachelors with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 3+ years or PhD with 0 years in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Strong software development skills in C/C++, Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
- Hands-on experience with neural network (experience with transformer-based models such as BERT, GPT, LLaMA, or LLaVA is a plus) deployment NPU, GPU, DSP or CPU.
- Solid knowledge on deploying AI models to Edge Devices: data flow scheduling, graph optimization, memory allocation and footprint optimization.
- Understanding and experience in ML and DL algorithms as well as LLMs.
- Model quantization, compression, and optimization for better accuracy and latency.
- A strong team player, self-motivated and positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- MLIR, IREE, LLVM experience is a plus.
