Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer oversee the financial operations of the service lines within of the firm. This includes but is not limited to: managing Service Line financial performance, attorney and client profitability, developing special pricing strategies, financial analysis of lateral recruitment opportunities, lateral integration and generally supporting the financial health and performance of the firm.

Required Responsibilities:
- Financial measurement and modeling of Service Line, Business Sector and client performance and profitability.
- Works in concert with the CFO and Accounting Team to plan, implement and monitor performance improvement initiatives across the firm by performing detailed performance analysis and modeling.
- Meets regularly with Service Line and attorney leaders to discuss, plan and implement strategies to improve overall financial performance, leverage and pricing to maximize profitability.
- Provide financial management and modeling as needed to manage the business of the firm.
- Manage and educate attorneys and staff on profitability metrics, concepts and strategies to improve financial performance.
- Assist with the financial analysis and onboarding/integration of lateral attorneys and groups.
- Coordinate the budgeting process with all members of the Accounting team under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer.
- Maintain spreadsheets, data bases and other financial applications used to provide baseline financial data.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and the supporting database.
- Hiring, training, evaluating and retaining competent staff within the accounting team.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor Degree (B.A. or B.S.) four-Year College or university; Master’s preferred; ten years or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA license is preferred, but not required.
- An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
- In-depth knowledge of accepted accounting principles; working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems; well-developed financial analysis capabilities; and demonstrated ability to manage operations and applications in accounting are essential.
- Excel proficiency is required.
- Solid analytical skills that include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Strong oral and written communication skills attune to audience for delivery of message. Strong problem solving abilities; gather, identify and analyze information timely and provide alternative solutions.
- Strong business acumen that demonstrates an understanding of the business implications of decisions.
- Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition and aligns work with strategic goals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadline-driven workload.
Physical Requirements:
- Sits frequently, six out of eight hours per day. Siting position static for up to one-half hour at a time.
- Bends and stoops occasionally, up to one-half hour per day.
- Must be willing and able to travel between offices to meet with attorneys, staff and clients as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
