Behavior Technician Job Description
** $1000 July Hiring Bonus **
Aim High Impact is a department of Aim High PDX, a 501(c)3 nonprofit committed to providing youth resources since 2003. Aim High Impact is a behavioral health clinic providing full-time, in-center Applied Behavior Analysis treatment to children with autism. Aim High Impact primarily accepts clients who have been turned away from other providers due to the severity of their behaviors. You will begin your career at Aim High Impact by earning your Behavior Analysis Regulatory Board certification (BARB), paid for by Aim High. The certification requires 40 hours of online training, also paid for by Aim High.
Full-time positions are preferred. Part-time positions must be available at least half days Monday - Friday.
Preferred Qualifications
- BARB and/or RBT Certification (Please note that this is NOT a requirement for hire, but candidates who currently have a BARB and/or RBT Certification are strongly preferred)
- Safety Care certification
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and strong character
- Ability to stay calm and problem solve under pressure
- CPR/First Aid certification
Position Requirements & Duties
- Complete 40 hours of online training.
- Ability to demonstrate and implement behavior principals
- Ability to learn treatment software, Unitus TI
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with management, other staff members, and client guardians
- Provide direct service to clients on a 1:1 basis
- Assist in toileting programming for clients who need it
- Assist in feeding for clients who need it
- Document daily treatment via Session Notes
- Implement behavioral instruction and accurate data collection
- Complete/interpret client assessments as requested
- Interpret behavior and program progress data
- Continue to develop creative strategies, ideas, and solutions to engage clients and facilitate learning in collaboration with the client’s team
- Create program materials
- Assist Program Manager with assessments and progress reports as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Complete other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
