Who we are…
We are a Managed Service Provider for IT Services and Projects. We currently have 3 locations in Georgia that we service the surrounding cities and even further from. Our Vision is “To be the leader in IT and Security for small to medium business in the South-Eastern Region of the United States.” We pride ourselves on doing a great job providing IT Support, Sales, Consulting, Service, and Setup for our customers so they can focus on their day to day operations. What you’ll do…
As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will perform service/installation of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems. Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and perform repairs, as necessary. Assists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities (i.e. coordination with electricians, locksmith, carpenters).Attends meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
Skills & Requirements…
· Ability to learn the ins and out of the structured cabling system including pathways, spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone copper, backbone fiber optic, cross and inter-connections, and testing. This includes understanding applicable codes, standards, and industry-best practices and the ability to differentiate between them and make recommendations.
· Ability to choose the correct tool and methodology for the given task

Essential Responsibilities…
· Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings).
· Install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone and other cables.
· Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture and other work areas.
· Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
· Fire-stop various types of cable penetrations.
· Test, troubleshoot, and document test results for cabling.
· Must have ability to install, terminate and test low voltage cables (to include twisted pair cable, coax)
· Understands, adheres to, and promotes the Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
· Perform/prepare timely field reporting of asset usage as required.
· Perform other duties as needs arise.
· Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Maintain a satisfactory compliance with customer
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED
· Read, write, and understand English
· Able to distinguish colors
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· Ability to travel on occasion, though not often.
