Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to oversee our governmental auditing practice and ensure compliance with GAAS auditing standard and regulatory standards including GASB, federal yellow book and single audit requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in governmental auditing standards, fund financial statement preparation and GASB standards.
Duties:
- Oversee and lead the entire audit process from preliminary procedures to completion for local government audits
- Conduct audits of financial statements in accordance with GASB and GAAS
- Evaluate internal controls to identify areas of risk and non-compliance
- Provide recommendations for improving financial management practices
- Review governmental accounting practices for adherence to regulations
- Lead a team of auditors to execute the financial statement audit procedures effectively
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in governmental and non-profit auditing preferred
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications
- Strong knowledge of GASB accounting standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
