Job Summary:
Mercurys Coffee Co. is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of HR operations. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the company’s goals and objectives. This individual will lead the HR department and collaborate with department managers to promote a culture of engagement, performance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with the company’s mission, values, and business objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance on HR best practices, industry trends, and regulatory compliance.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
- Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates.
- Develop effective onboarding programs to ensure the smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Foster positive employee relations by promoting open communication, trust, and respect in the workplace.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms to enhance morale and retention.
Performance Management:
- Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Partner with managers to address performance issues, develop improvement plans, and support employee development.
Benefits Administration and Compliance:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for employees at all levels.
- Facilitate training sessions on topics such as leadership development, diversity, and inclusion.
HR Administration and Reporting:
- Oversee HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) administration, data management, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of employee information, transactions, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years in foodservice with an employee count of 200+
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
