Job description – Purchasing Associate
Purchasing Associate SUMMARY: This is not your average Purchasing Associate position! Being a part of our small team doesn't just mean that you will be tasked with Purchasing Associate duties, but you will have a large impact on our business decisions and drive the path of Art Craft's future. We need a go getter who will represent our team and give clients the best service!
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Supporting Sales with estimate information for RFQ/RFPs and C/Os relative to the cost and price of items: parts, components, material, consumables, equipment rentals, outsourced services, etc.
● Procurement of items for won jobs, approved change orders, stock inventory items. ● Supporting Sales with estimate information for change orders to the cost and price of items. ● Oversee stock inventory and manage Min-Max for all items.
● Manage the shipping/receiving functions, including the quality assurance and RMA (returned Material authorization) processes.
● Supervise stockroom administrative assistant.
● Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, quality, and lead time, while reducing job and operating costs and boosting efficiency. Expectation is to not simply fulfill orders, but actively find value / best deals for the Company.
● Maintain cordial working relationships with vendors and customers and supervising the vendor activities.
● Review purchasing agreements with vendors and suppliers.
● Manage purchase orders, tracking numbers, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records.
● Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to verify order accuracy and identify discrepancies.
● Conduct ongoing market research to identify beneficial purchase agreements and potential vendors and suppliers.
● Work cross-functionally with multiple departments and communicate as needed for efficient operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Two years of experience in a purchasing position.
● In-depth knowledge of purchasing, supply chain and inventory functions. ● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work with minimal supervision.
● Strong organizational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain supplier and vendor relationships.
● MS Office applications, and experience with supply chain and inventory management applications. Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and have sense of urgency. ● Experience in Service Shop / Job shop / Project Management business models.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
